Paper Sparrows
Folksville is now in its 10th year – and that’s where hosts Paper Sparrows got together! They’ve had a busy couple of years with festival appearances at the likes of Cambridge Folk Festival and Folk East, amongst shows up and down the country. The band's sound centres on their distinctive twin-acoustic guitar style, finger-picking, harmonies and double bass. Arrangements draw upon 60s folk-revivalists such as Bert Jansch, Dylan and Donovan up to contemporary acts like Dave Rawlings, Kris Drever and the Milk Carton Kids.

Rain of Animals
Rain Of Animals is the euphonious collaboration between Pepita Emmerichs (Oh Pep!) and Theodore Barnard (Wire & Wool) and their love of all things mandolin, fiddle, guitar, harmony vocals, tunes and songs. Their sound is a modern folk fusion both new and old, unique in it's instrumental wizardry and musical integrity all at once. Touring prolifically since 22, the duo have performed throughout the UK, EU, Australia and New Zealand, released their debut, EP and first song; a sign of what is to come in their sophomore album later in 25' along with a full band lineup.

Sarah Irvine
Australian Sarah Irvine is a firm Folksville favourite. She’s played under many guises, namely with Weird Cousins (harmony-laden trio) and, of course, under her own moniker. Sarah’s unique voice and skilled guitaring has taken her up and down the UK with acts such as Moteh Parrot and Humbird amongst others.

Big Lightnin’
Big Lightnin’ put folk’n’roll to Folksville. They return to Edinburgh after a recent tour of Mexico. "Royal rock 'n' roll couples don't come any more eloquent, suave or beat than this mighty duo." Shindig Magazine. The pair have a musical CV to match the best: The Milkshakes; Sally Skull; The Wildebeests; The Nettelles; and Lord Rochester to name but a few. Russ cuts records, Saskia writes books. They cover all bases.
